You will be introduced to PMI’s preeminent organizational education, assessment, and advancement tool: Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3®). OPM3 is the next step in the PMI Standards evolution, and it establishes a connection between project management and organizational strategy. About the Speaker Mark Ward, Ph.D., PMP, is an Assistant Professor of Computer Management and Information Systems at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Besides teaching information systems classes, he also regularly conducts workshops on PMP® certification, OPM3, and other project management-related topics. He is a retired Air Force officer and worked extensively on the C-17 acquisition team during his military career. He has many scholarly publications and holds several technical certifications (a complete vitae is available upon request). Besides the A&D SIG, he also has memberships in Beta Gamma Sigma, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Mensa, and the United States National Taekwondo Federation. Northeast Region Ambassador Seeks Member Input We are looking for involvement from A&D SIG members throughout the Northeast. If you want to get involved, please contact the A&D SIG Ambassador - Northeast Region, Michael Dahlberg, PMP, CPA with any ideas, questions or suggestions. Michael hosts meetings of the A&D SIG Local Interest Group (LIG) affiliated with the PMI Westchester, NY Chapter. The LIG meets on the second Thursday of each month.
