Agency and Corporate Sponsorship

The A&D SIG Agency and Corporate Sponsorship Program, recognizing the value of having agency and corporate sponsors, will support the development and fostering of opportunities to form sponsorships between the SIG and their primary customers. In establishing such relationships, the A&D SIG will be more responsive to the needs of government agencies and contractors in the aerospace and defense industry while serving the SIG members with increased benefits of stronger sponsorship by organizational executives and the internal organizational support that encourages A&D SIG membership participation in SIG activities.

We have therefore chosen to create an A&D SIG Agency and Corporate Sponsorship Program that will recognize and foster opportunities to form sponsorships between the SIG and our government agency and corporate customers. This program will enable our customers to define their project management needs to the A&D SIG, to network with other executives of A&D SIG Sponsors, and to demonstrate their support and commitment to the project management profession through interactive Sponsoring with the PMI A&D SIG.

Vision
To recognize and serve the needs
of customer organizations that wish
to demonstrate their commitment to
the project/program management profession in the aerospace and defense industry by sponsoring and becoming involved in the A&D SIG.

Mission
The A&D SIG Agency & Corporate Sponsorship Program shall be the liaison to assure that the A&D SIG
is aware of and responsive to the
project management needs of all the organizations we serve, and that those organizations are aware of the project management profession, its benefits, and accepted practices as is under-stood and can be facilitated by and through A&D SIG in its relationship in the aerospace and defense industry.
As the sole PMI® component that is dedicated to serve the aerospace and defense industry, it is therefore most capable of facilitating those project management needs that will help the A&D industry to develop knowledgeable, capable, and mature PM practices and PM professionals.
